We didn’t have much time in Zion–we only allowed ourselves a day there on our way to The Wave. So we drove through Zion, taking in the towering peaks.

Then walked all of the stunning Temple of Sinawava Trail.

We hiked parts of the Weeping Rock and Angel Trail, and all of the Emerald Lake Loop.

I definitely don’t regret cutting Zion short for The Wave, but someday it’ll be cool to do more hiking and canyoning in Zion.

We drove east through the narrow Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel and out the east side of Zion, which, like East Yellowstone, was unpopulated and more stunning than the rest of Zion.
