We continued up the Pacific Coast Highway, stopping at dramatic Morro Bay.

At sunset, In Cambria, California, we cut inland towards Paso Robles.

The next day we toured the beautiful Central Coast wine country. The green and rocky, fog covered rolling hills are what I imagine Ireland looks like.

We went back to the Pacific Coast Highway, continued north, and stopped in San Simeon at the Piedras Blancas Rookery where elephant seals gather on the beach during their mating season. The elephant seals are fascinating, cute and ugly at the same time, and very loud.
